Customized portrait pouch

I made this portrait pouch, its all hand sewn to draw the portrait, first I started making custom portrait stamps, and as a special request made this portrait on a pouch, I really got excited and drew everything with just thread, it took me a long while and many cups of tea, but I think it turned out great, I hope there is a nice girlfriend out there happily keeping her chap-stick and phone cozy.
And now Im going to make it available in the etsy shop yaay

Hice esta bolsita con un retrato, todo lo dibujé cosiendo con hilito, primero comenzé haciendo retratos en sellos y ahora como pedido especial hice esta bolsita de retrato, me emocioné y me puse a elegir cada hilo como si fueran colores... me tomó mucho tiempo y dedicación , y varias tazitas de te sabor caramelo navideño (mmm menta) y estoy feliz con el resultado.
Solo espero que haya una novia muy feliz, guardando su chapstick y celular calientitos esta navidad

While thanks giving is not a Mexican tradition, my family and I have adopted this one, its just another opportunity to get together eat and be thankfull for all the nice things we've been trough this year, celebrating new babies, sharing laughs, dressing up, rosy cheeks from the wine, wishing and hoping Mr. Next year will bring us equal or more joy than this one has.. , Enjoy the turkey and be warm and happy
Ill share some of the new stamps Im carving , I will be making more elaborate stamps of my designs coming the next year. Cant wait. Here Ill leave you with some brought to you by Mr. 2011

I was a little weary of the Mexican post office, I did it a few years ago with a shaky hand, but Oh my goodness was I wrong, you have an automatic tracking number and its really a penny for a dollar, So I Think Im going to change my very long 2 hour sometimes even longer commute to my very cute hot pink 2 block distance nice mexican post service, for international shippings.
Well this is the first item I make and it went to Mexico city , Im so happy how it turned out, I needed to channel my intense love for pugs and I did trough this stamp I hope Marina likes it ...thank you Marina!!
I also would like to randomly share in a non related subject, that I proudly dont bite my nails anymore! yaay

Tenía miedito de enviar paquetes por el correo mexicano, hace algunos años lo hice temersoa, pero que equivocada estaba, no sólo tienen un número de rastreo digital de paquetería, sino que no tengo que hacer 2 horas de fila a estados unidos para enviar sellitos y aparte es menos costoso!
Asi que este es el primer paquete que envío por correo mexicano en mucho tiempo , va al DF y estoy muy contenta espero que le guste este par de sellitos a Marina
:)
tambien quiero mencionar orgullosamente, que ya no me muerdo las uñas wiiii (lo cual se puede apreciar en la foto )

Once upon a time there was this magical wizard, who met a lady , they fell in love and had a baby, she grew up and magical herself decided to make planted homes for the tiny people who live in them and come alive at night . She also made bomb seeds to spread wild plant life and attract butterflies and bees, the most beautiful life forms she ever met. And I met them at the renegade craft fair, they where about 5 booths from mine. :)

I will be posting new stamp designs on my shop this week, every stamp I send out is based on the design I post...but being handcarved they turn out slightly unique. So every time someone buys a stamp from my shop, I truly make it for the person who buys it.

and a new feature its that all of them will be mounted on wood, that I personally sand for rounded edges

Asi que cada vez que alguien compra un sellito, realmente es hecho especialmente para esa persona... es lo especial de mis sellitos... realmente son únicos e intencionados para el que lo compre.

I really enjoyed making this batch, I was aiming , to create a woodsy cottage mood with the texture of the wood. I guess I was thinking that these would be hanged on Alice's house in Alice in wonderland, the house in which she couldn't fit anymore...remember?

I finished this Mowgli & Bagheeraillustration today(from the jungle book) , wanted to give the Matte medium a try, and loved it!, It gave me a chance to tear pages from an old book I had and incorporate them

Im really happy with my first encounter with the matte medium.

Awgrrr (sonido de mis visceras cuando me emociono)...es que quiero compartirles el trabajo de misako mimoko pero mejor en sus palabras aqui va: "Mi nombre es Eva, aunque me escondo bajo nombre de Misako Mimoko, y hace cosa de un año que empecé a confeccionar mis primeras muñecas. Natalia muy amablemente me pidió que escribiese una pequeña introducción sobre mi trabajo para su bonito blog, le agradezco muchísimo que haya querido postear mi trabajo :) Desde que empecé a hacer las 'dolis y dolos' no he podido parar, ¡me encanta!Constantemente veo cosas que me inspiran y me llevan a descubrir nuevos personajes. Mi principal fuente de inspiración son las ilustraciones y los muñecos antiguos, muchos de los cuales los descubre mi pareja Gabriel (joyville.blogspot.com), siempre me sorprenden y encuentro cosas de las que aprender. Cada una de mis muñecas está hecha para alguien muy especial, me siento como si preparase un regalo a una persona querida, en todo momento me pregunto si está bien así, o puede llegar a ser más bonita, si gustará, si disfrutarán de su compañía... Espero que siempre haya alguien que encuentre "su muñeca", eso me haría muy feliz."

I constantly see things that inspire me and make me discover new characters. My main inspiration comes from vintage ilustrations & dolls, and most of them are discovered by my significant other/love Gabriel (joyville.blogspot.com) they always surprise me (the finds), things that I want to learn from. My friend ely never forgot her little turtle until that day when santa claus brought her rollerblades... she wanted to rollerblade outside, and tought it would be cool for her turtle to watch, only she forgot her turtle in the sun, and it died.
But no worries Ely, all turtles go to heaven, where they all hibernate forever in peace. & she says hi.

My amiga ely, nunca se habia olvidado de su tortuga, hasta el dia en que santa claus, le trajo patines...quería patinar afuera, y pensó que sería buena idea que su tortuga la viera patinar, solo que se le olvidó a ely en el sol la tortuga, y murió.
Pero no te preocupes Ely, porque todas las tortugas van al cielo, donde hibernan para siempre en paz. Y te manda saludos!

Today was a very good day, Im so excited about the gifts I got!!! Ilustrated books from my husbands childhood my little toddler is going to actually read or..see the illustrations his dad at his age saw...anyway they are too good not to share...tomorrow Ill scan them & give you a taste of vintage chinese & japanese illustration..Ill even throw in some snoopy!!
